Don't Be Afraid:Travel

I've seen things that have sickened me. I’ve seen people that have tons of money and tons of time, great lives, and all they want to do is gossip, fight, and hold tea parties.

Upon doing all this, they also want to travel. They want to see native and exotic places but won’t go because they're afraid.

They’re afraid and this is a universal thing. They’re afraid of things not going the way they want them to, which can happen with trip a to the store.

The question is, are you going to waste your time and not go on all the trips you can definitely go on because of fear?

Are you going to miss out on a wonderful trip to Florence, Italy because you’re afraid something might go wrong?

Well I think that’s ridiculous, and unfair to you. If you can afford to spoil yourself, spoil yourself.

And if you can afford to go on vacations, go on vacations alone and enjoy yourself.

It’s possible; at least I believe it is.

Three Most Common Phobias

Now the next thing you have to work on is getting over the fears.

All you have to do is realize 3 simple things that will cure this lack of your ability to take the next step.

Once you've read this simple realization you will definitely be more inclined to go on your dream trip.

It'll be a lot of fun, and you'll have pictures and stories to show it.

One: The Phobia of things not going according to plan

Things happen in life. Sometimes they happen for a reason, other times they happen for nothing.

You can get into a horrible life-threatening accident just going to the grocery store for a can of beans.

You can get food poisoning eating at your hometown buffet.

I can honestly tell you, I was walking down the street, just to my grandma’s house to visit, and stepped in a stupid crack in the sidewalk, fractured my ankle terribly and had to go to the hospital for it.

Just that quickly, a life changing thing happened to me and hurt me right across the street from my home. How stupid.

I realized, if you want to go somewhere, go. Just pay attention to where you are, your surroundings, relax, and take your time coming and going. No rushing.

Take your time and move with the crowd and browse and be open to exploring new things. Don't be over anxious, just relax.

Two: The Phobia of Catastrophic Events Happening

Stop fearing that some catastrophic event will happen.

I know how we all must feel about going on a cruise ship since one has gotten too close to the shore and capsized.

I know how people must feel about going to the mountains and on trails after seeing or hearing about movies like Deliverance and Wrong Turn.

These types of tales can leave a social scar if you’re not used to horror movies.

The simple solution is to make sure you’re prepared for any emergencies.

First aid kit, mace or pepper spray, handheld GPS device, cell phones that are charged up and equipped with the zip codes that you need, maps so you can familiarize yourself with area, trails or paths you’re going to take, and try not to walk in the dark too late or too early alone.

Knowing how to swim or owning a vest for splashing around in deep water is a good deal.

All you have to do is know where you’re going, be prepared with devices that can assist you (cell phone, water vest, maps, GPS) and the basic geography of the entire area.

Problem solved.

Three: The Phobia of Going Alone

All I can say is, you can do it.

Just refrain from letting your imagination go wild with probabilities that you have a psycho stalker or you’ll meet one. It’s not that probable.

If you don’t want to be alone, stay in view of other people, don’t venture off alone.

You don’t have to be on someone’s heels, just be in view of other tourists or any people in general.

Now you’ve been cured, you’re not alone.

Really useful hub!

I love traveling but I know a few people who have the same fears listed here, and I think this is one hub they should all take a look at

Thanks for reading, and definitely, they would get either the right deal or a good deal on a cruise right now. I used to worry, these are the most common things, and their just ridiculous. And I had to share my thoughts.

I like this Hub.

When other people worry for me when I travel or do other things they consider dangerous I tell that is probably not how I'm going to die. I'm more likely to die of a heart attack or stroke, so if you're going to worry, worry about that.

I suspect one could get a good deal on a cruise to the Mediterranean right now.
